Privacy policy

This policy explains what information The Mochima Studio (“we,” “us”) collects through themochimastudio.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a small business in Houston, Texas, and we collect as little as we can.

What we collect

What you send us. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive what you choose to include: your name, business name, email address, phone number, your website address, your preferred language and your message.

If we emailed you first. We contact businesses using details they have made public, on their own website or in public business directories: the business name, a public email address, the website address and, when it is published, a contact name. We also keep your replies and a note of whether you asked us to stop.

Basic technical data. Our website host processes standard request data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. We don’t use it to build a profile of you.

What we don’t collect. This site does not set cookies and does not use advertising pixels, cross-site tracking or third-party analytics. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.

How we use it

• To reply to your request and send the written note you asked for.
• To send a small number of introductory emails to businesses that may benefit from a new or better website.
• To prepare a quote and, if you hire us, to do the work and keep records of it.
• To keep the site secure and working.

We don’t send newsletters, and we don’t use your information for anything else.

Who processes it

We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. A few service providers handle it for us, only to run the site, our email and our outreach:

• Website hosting: our host serves the pages and keeps short-lived request logs for security.
• Form processing: Netlify receives contact-form submissions and forwards them to our inbox.
• Email: our email provider stores the messages we send and receive.
• Outreach tools: software, including AI tools, that helps us research public business information, write and send our introductory emails, and sort replies.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep an inquiry only as long as we need it to reply and follow up. If we work together, we keep project records for as long as the project, taxes and our legal obligations require. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep only your email address and business name on a do-not-contact list, so we never write to you again. Outreach records for businesses that don’t reply are deleted once we no longer need them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

To stop our emails, reply “no” or “unsubscribe” to any of them, or write to hello@themochimastudio.com. We remove you the same day.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask for a copy of it, by emailing hello@themochimastudio.com. We’ll respond within 45 days. Some state laws, including in Texas and California, give residents specific privacy rights; we honor these requests wherever you live. We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t use it for targeted advertising or profiling.

Security

The whole site uses HTTPS, and only the people who need to reply to you can see your inquiry. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, so please don’t send passwords or payment details through the form.

Children

This site is for business owners. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Links to other sites, such as the research we cite, are covered by those sites’ own privacy policies.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date above.
